Located just off exit on the N4, Dublin to Sligo road, less than 20 minutes from Liffey Valley (view our location on the map). The founding of The Hamlet Court Hotel

The O’Neill family arrived in December 1060 into the beautiful village of Johnstownbridge where we have remained as a successful family owned and operated business until this day.  Our parents Murty and Phil, and Uncle Andrew were the original team who bought a country public house and shop.  The business was always engaged in serving the finest food and drink to our customers.

During the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s the business grew into the Hamlet Roadhouse and other family members joined the ever expanding team as the years went by.  Our first head chef John Kennedy, Mam’s brother, started the catering side of the business which marked our entry into the wedding arena, and provided the foundation for the redevelopment of the site in 2003 into the Hamlet Court Hotel.

The foresight, determination and hard work of our parents, family and staff, and the loyalty and support of our customers has grown our business, and enabled the current generation of O’Neill’s to continue in the family tradition.   Today we are a still a family run Hotel with traditional values, and a reputation for excellent food, and great service.  Together with our team of professionals we look forward to welcoming you and yours to the Hamlet Court Hotel.
